The structure of the Charleston Rose Pillar is made from 8cm steel tubing and 2 cm steelbands, which are welded, hot dipped galvanized and powder coated. Installation Guidelines for installing the Charleston Rose Pillar
- Excavate foundation pit/hole to minimum depth of 60cm and approx 40cm wide
- Position and hold the steel anchor in a central position, carefully pour in the concrete
- Gently tamper the concrete to fill foundation and ensure that there are no air pockets
- Place Charleston Rose Pillar in position, and with the aid of a Builder’s Spirit Level, check verticals on all sides
- As the concrete foundation will take at least 24 hours to set, it is essential to secure the Rose Pillar during this time. Timber battens are ideal for using to securely prop the column in position.
- Once the timber battens are secured, check the verticals once more and leave to set.
- Once the concrete foundation has set, carefully remove the timber supports.
